November Happenings

As I am sitting here realizing that November is basically half way over and that Thanksgiving is about 2 weeks away, it seems as though time is flying by. I have been trying to put together Christmas lists and do a little Christmas shopping.

Even though it is getting dark out earlier and we seem to have a bit more down time, we have still been quite busy.

We’ve celebrated Faith’s 11 birthday with bowling and go karts, which was a blast. According to her this was the best birthday ever. We spent a few days in the city doing some shopping and just birthday fun. I found a wonderful little coffee-house that fixed her up some wonderful gluten-free cupcakes.

Had to throw in a picture of our cat, Patches, he’s quite the character and hates it when we are gone for a few days. He has some attachment issues, he was a bottle fed baby, raised by humans (us!!) not by cats!! So he’s different to say the least. More on him another time!

Came home to Grace spending the weekend participating in honors band and then off to a horse show banquet, where she received Reserve Grand Champion for the 2016-2017 show season.

Now, we are facing opening weekend for pheasant season. It is an early morning, cold and a bit drizzly, that started around 5:30am. So today will be spent fixing lunches and dinner (I’ll post soon what’s cooking). Plus some gluten-free cinnamon rolls and probably, some non-gluten free cinnamon rolls for other people. Yes, occasionally I will bake regular stuff believe it or not. My husband prefers to have everything gluten, but he’s a good sport and doesn’t complain ever. Grace will be excited too, she also eats all my gluten free foods but likes it when I fix regular non-gluten free stuff. It doesn’t happen very often. Maybe I’ll post the recipe for the regualr cinnamond rolls too.

A clinical psychologist turned stay at home mom. I have 2 beautiful girls (13 and 11) that I home school. We spend our days running back and forth to town, baking, cooking, riding horses and having fun on the farm.
