Let the Holiday Baking Begin….

Oh my…..what have I started!!!

Around here the baking seems to never stop when it gets close to the Holidays. I feel like I have lived in my kitchen since Thanksgiving, which if I think about it, I have! Here’s a peek of whats been going on in my kitchen lately.

I’ve made Rice Krispies. Regular square ones and also some that we’ve used cookie cutters on! Coated them in colored chocolate. Peanut clusters, were easy and a hit! Grace helped out in making those, and Faith helped out in making the marshmallows on a stick.

Amazingly, Christmas is only a week away and I believe that I am completely done with my Christmas shopping, finally. I usually start early and slowly do some shopping over several months. I have found that by doing this I can usually find what I want and find it on sale! Even better!!!

On a side note, I haven’t had much time to post/write anything to all of you. For the past two weeks both of my kids have been sick. Faith was down and out for a few weeks. As soon as she recovered, Grace ended up with the same darn thing. I feel like a sitting duck! I’m sure that I will be next. Just hoping it will be after Christmas.

I will have to post the recipe for the delicious peanut clusters this week. They were incredibly easy and only took about an hour to make. Be watching for those this week. They will be a wonderful little addition to cookie trays or for your holiday parties.
