Spring is in the air!

First off, we had some pics done by a very good friend of mine! I thought I would lead off with new pictures! The girls are getitng so big and changing so much. Right in front of my eyes. I can’t believe how much.

Anyway, yes Spring is here!!!

Well, at least here it is somewhat in the air. Kansas is funny that way. One day it can be 75 degrees and the next you are bundled up preparing for a snow storm or major wind. I believe we are the 2nd windiest in the states, or somewhere around here. Let me tell ya, we have been feeling it lately! Last week we have three to four days in a row where the wind was about 60-70mph daily. It doesn’t help that we are currently in a drought. Right now our conditions out here are bad. Constant fire warnings due to dry conditions plus the wind.

Today was a rather beautiful day here in Kansas. It was about 54 degrees out and no wind! That’s amazing for Kansas. Yes, its spring break here, but we are hard at it still. There are chores to be done, horses to ride, and school work to complete. There is just so much to do in such a little amount of time anymore. Maybe it’s just me, but things/time seems to be moving by so much more quickly than it use to.

Speaking of chores to be done, we now have these two little guys to add to our little farm. Waddles and Little Quack. This is the first time we have had ducks, hoping it all works out okay. We have 12 baby chicks right now and they are fitting in great with them. They get a daily bath and are able to swim around a bit in their little pool, inside of course. They are only about 2 weeks old now, but my they are big already! I’m so in love with them! I wish they could stay like this forever!!!IMG_3589

On with business, I do have some posts, food related, that I have been meaning to share with everyone, but time has really gotten away from me the last few weeks. With the nicer weather it feels like we are on the go more and more, which leaves me with very little down time. But, I have had the chance to whip up a few good things!

I will be getting those out hopefully sometime this week!!

See you all then!!

A clinical psychologist turned stay at home mom. I have 2 beautiful girls (13 and 11) that I home school. We spend our days running back and forth to town, baking, cooking, riding horses and having fun on the farm.
